Selection Process
The process a municipality must follow to obtain the "Most Beautiful Towns of Spain" Seal consists of three key stages. The goal is to meet the standards set forth in the association's Quality Charter.
Formal Application
The town expresses its desire to join the association through a formal request approved by the municipal council. This is the first mandatory step: the town council must officially apply for membership.
On-site evaluation
Once the association receives the formal request, the evaluation process for the town begins. To do so:
- A physical visit to the municipality is conducted
- A video and photo report is produced, including drone footage
- Interviews are conducted with the municipal government (mayor and council members)
With all this information, the dossier is prepared for the next phase.
Quality Commission
At the Quality Commission meeting, which takes place at the end of the year, a decision is made on which towns qualify, and the final audit is approved.
The Quality Commission consists of seven members and is the body that determines, after analyzing the entire file, whether the town meets the standards required by the Quality Charter.
