Embark on a journey back to prehistoric times in the heart of the Río Vero Cultural Park. This guided tour will take you to discover the impressive cave paintings of Abrigos de Peña Miel, an archaeological treasure surrounded by one of the wildest and most spectacular landscapes in the central Pyrenees.

The adventure begins in Paúles de Sarsa, ascending through ancient holm oak forests with unparalleled panoramic views of the Monte Perdido, Cotiella, and Peña Montañesa massifs. After visiting the shelters, we will descend to the Vero River, crossing the rocky area of "Los Estrechos" and the remains of ancient mills, in a perfect combination of heritage, geology, and nature.

Recommended Equipment

To enjoy the experience safely, it is essential to have:

• Footwear: Hiking boots or trekking shoes with good grip.

• Clothing: Layered clothing (synthetic T-shirt, fleece, and waterproof jacket), comfortable pants, and sun protection (hat and sunglasses).

• Supplies: Plenty of water and some snacks for the trail.

Important note: The route runs through uneven terrain and trails with loose stones. It is recommended that you be in good physical shape to walk on mountain trails for several hours.
