03/03/2026. CASTELLÓ DE LA PLANA. Vilafamés will once again host Vilafafest, a cultural initiative that in just three years has established itself as one of the most unique events in the region and which, in its last edition, won the award for best cultural promotion initiative. This third edition, which will be held on March 21 in the Plaça de la Tanca, revolves around the leitmotif "stone turned into art," with the aim of positioning art—in all its forms and expressions—as the cornerstone of the town's identity.

The lineup for this edition brings together artists such as Tito Pontet, Esther, Andreu Valor, JazzWoman, and La Kinky Band. Admission will be completely free, making the event accessible to all audiences. Andreu Valor will open the stage at 6:00 p.m. Next, Esther will perform at 7:30 p.m. with her fresh and energetic live show. JazzWoman, a leading figure on the urban scene, will take to the stage at 9:00 p.m. Tito Pontet will provide the most danceable moment of the day starting at 10:30 p.m., and La Kinky Band will close the festival at 12:15 a.m. with their powerful performance.

The festival was created in 2024 as a cultural and civic response to the risk of large-scale photovoltaic plants being installed in the area. Under the slogan "against energy speculation," the first edition positioned culture as a voice in defense of the territory, traditional livelihoods, and the landscape. That same year, Vilafamés managed to halt the installation of the macro plants. The second edition, with the slogan "for a dignified rurality," focused on the value of contemporary rural life and the need to break stereotypes, vindicating villages as living spaces with identity and capacity for projection.

In 2026, the festival evolved under the slogan "stone made art." Vilafamés is a cultural reference point, with a continuous program of cultural and sporting events and with the MACVAC as its hallmark and a source of collective pride. This commitment reinforces a narrative in which heritage, artistic creation, and landscape coexist and are projected as a tourist and cultural driving force. With this third edition, Vilafafest continues to advance as a cultural project with its own identity, capable of uniting territory, identity, and artistic creation.

The festival is promoted by the Vilafamés Town Council together with the production company Metrònom, a leading company in the organization of cultural and artistic events, an alliance that guarantees technical quality, project coherence, and external projection. The growth of Vilafafest is also reflected in the consolidation of external support. Companies such as Facsa and Globeenergy, which already participated as sponsors in the previous edition, have renewed their confidence in the project. It also has the backing of the Provincial Council of Castelló and the Valencian Institute of Culture of the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities, and Employment.
