Valderrobres giving light for Equality - March 2026

The Valderrobres City Council presents the latest edition of its most committed campaign: "Valderrobres giving light for Equality." Since 2021, this annual initiative has sought to prevent gender violence and promote real equality through awareness-raising and citizen participation around March 8—International Women's Day.
The program has the support of the State Pact on Gender Violence and various institutional collaborations.
March 2026 Program
Friday, March 6 (6:00 p.m.): Talk-workshop "Violence in youth: when gender makes a difference" in the Salón de las Hermanas. Given by the Ama Matarraña team, experts in the prevention of violence from a gender and intersectional perspective.
Sunday, March 8 (11:30 a.m.): Main event at the Tourist Office with the opening of the "Pioneers" exhibition, reading of the 8M Manifesto, and music by Trini Tunes. The exhibition, which highlights female role models from Teruel, will be open until March 15.
Friday, March 13 (5:30 p.m.): Coffee and conversation with local pioneers at the Tourist Office. An intimate gathering with Anabel Roda, Rocío Zapater, and Evelyn Celma to discuss local women's careers and talent. The figure of Valderrobrense soprano Elvira de Hidalgo, teacher of María Callas, will also be remembered.
Saturday, March 14 (7:00 p.m.): Theater performance of "La decisión de Lola" (Lola's Decision) (ages 14+) at the Casa de la Cultura. A moving play by Factory Producciones about overcoming violence and regaining dignity.
