Holy Week in Valderrobres, declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in Aragon, once again fills our streets with tradition, excitement, and solemnity with a full program of religious and cultural events that are part of our identity.
The events will begin with the now traditional Tamborrada, in the Plaza de España, with the participation of the Brotherhoods of Valderrobres. This event, which has become an essential prelude to Holy Week, marks the beginning of some very special days in which the sound of drums and bass drums announces the arrival of the Passion.
The program will continue with Viernes de Dolores (Friday of Sorrows), with the Viernes de Dolores Procession and Holy Mass in the chapel.
On Palm Sunday, the Blessing of the Palms will be held in the Camposanto and Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Church, in addition to the 36th Local Exaltation of Drums, Cornets, and Bass Drums in the Plaza Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón.
On Holy Wednesday, Holy Mass, confessions, and the traditional Way of the Cross through the old town will take place.
On Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lord's Supper, the Holy Hour, and the solemn Procession of Silence through the streets of the municipality will be celebrated.
Good Friday will begin with the Way of the Cross in the Camposanto and one of the most eagerly awaited moments, the Rompida de la Hora in the Plaza de España, where drums and bass drums will resound in unison announcing the Passion and Death of the Lord. In the afternoon, the Passion of the Lord will be celebrated and, at dusk, the solemn Procession of the Holy Burial.
On Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil will take place and, finally, on Easter Sunday, Holy Mass will bring Holy Week 2026 to a close.
Valderrobres invites residents and visitors to participate and experience these days intensely, in which tradition, devotion, and historical heritage come together in an incomparable setting.
