Beget, one of the most charming villages in the Catalan Pyrenees, will host the 2nd Meeting of the Most Beautiful Villages of the Pyrenees on April 18.
The town, part of the municipality of Camprodon (Girona), will bring together institutional representatives and experts for a conference focused on cooperation, joint promotion, and the advancement of rural development.

An event to strengthen a shared initiative
The meeting will allow for further progress on an initiative that brings together some of the region’s most unique destinations under a shared identity: The Most Beautiful Villages of the Pyrenees. This is a project promoted by the association The Most Beautiful Villages of Spain, which is committed to excellence, the preservation of heritage, and collaboration among municipalities.

During the event, mayors and technical staff will work on new joint initiatives aimed at consolidating the brand, strengthening shared promotion, and continuing to build partnerships to support the development of these leading rural and mountain communities.

Beget, host of the meeting
Its cobblestone streets, medieval bridges, and the harmony of its stone architecture, closely tied to the landscape, give the town a soul of its own. To walk through Beget is to enter a village that has managed to preserve its authentic character intact.
Among its main treasures is the church of Sant Cristófol and, inside, the Majestat de Beget, an exceptional Romanesque carving that constitutes one of the area’s great heritage treasures.
In addition to its historical value, Beget is the ideal starting point for hiking trails, allowing visitors to enjoy the local cuisine and the hospitality of a village that keeps its essence alive. All of this makes it a setting fully aligned with the brand’s values of excellence.

Camprodon and its presence in the Girona Pyrenees
The event also takes place in the setting of Camprodon, a leading municipality with a well-established tradition as a mountain tourism destination. The connection between Beget and Camprodon adds a broader regional dimension and reinforces the event’s impact across the entire region and the province of Girona.
