Guadalupe
Guadalupe (Cáceres) was declared a Historic-Artistic Site and World Heritage Site in 1993. The Royal Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe has witnessed decisive moments in the history of Spain, such as the audience in which the Catholic Monarchs offered the caravels to Columbus. A walk through the beautiful streets of Guadalupe showcases a typical mountain architecture of balconies and arcades, leading the visitor to discover charming nooks and crannies such as the Plaza de Santa María de Guadalupe, the Colegio de Infantes, and the Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity, along with the five medieval arches distributed among its two walls.
