Garòs
Garòs is a village in the Catalan Pyrenees that welcomes us on the Alt Aran route in the Aran Valley. It is located on the right side of the river Garonne, between the Cal and Solid ravines, at an altitude of 1,115 metres. This village of the mountain has barely 100 inhabitants, and this is one of its main attractions. Garòs offers heritage and nature tourism for those who want to get away from the big crowds. There is no better delight than wandering through its streets and discovering the typical architecture of the area. Also outstanding in this village is the Parish Church of San Julián, built in the 12th century, although it was reformed in the 15th century, mixing Romanesque and Gothic elements. The most interesting features of this church are inside, where we are greeted by a beautiful carved Christ, a Gothic image of the Virgin and a silver processional cross.
