Bagergue
The village of Bagergue is the highest in the Val d'Aran, located at 1419m.
Every season of the year brings its special splendour: winters with abundant snow, spring abundant with meadow flowers, summer filling the mountains with life and autumn's festival of colours.
Bagergue holds the highest distinction of the Viles Florides (Towns in Bloom) initiative for the third consecutive year with 4 Flowers of Honour. This movement aims to promote the natural wealth of the region via the public recognition of all gardens, floral displays, urban furniture and recreational spaces that represent an example to follow, both in the public and private sphere.
Any visitor staying in Bagergue as a base for the endless activities available is sure to enjoy the charms of the village: Casa Menginat, Casa es de Pansart, the 12th-century church of Sant Fèlix, the highest cheese factory in the Pyrenees and the Eth Corrau Museum with over 2500 pieces recounting the traditions and customs of the Val d'Aran.
You can enjoy a moment of tranquillity and contemplation in the Sanctuary of Santa Margalida, located 1 km north of the village of Bagergue.
The transformations undergone by the town in recent years have not diminished the charm of this mountain village, with its stone houses, slate roofs and wooden balconies.
Bagergue has the same hours of sunshine in summer as in winter.
