Urueña
Urueña was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1975. In part this status is due to the existence of a very well-preserved medieval farmhouse, as well as walls dating from the thirteenth century and undoubtedly the best preserved in the entire province. At its southeast end, the wall joins up with the castle, built in the eleventh century on an ancient Roman stronghold. Located in the valley, outside the town walls, we find the Romanesque chapel of Our Lady of the Annunciation, a beautiful example of the Lombard Romanesque.
