Trevélez
The municipality of Trevélez is part of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and is located on its southern slopes. Being the highest municipality of the Iberian Peninsula, it is nestled in the slopes of the Mulhacén and enjoys a fresh and clean air in which its famous hams are cured.
Their three districts, Upper, Middle and Lower, which make up the town centre, are articulated in a harmonious descent to the banks of the river Trevélez, a permanent whisper of crystal clear waters where trout abound.
The view is bordered by the white crests of the Sierra Nevada and the rugged ravines, painted by the green of a unique vegetation, an ideal place for hiking and to recharge your batteries afterwards, in any of the fabulous and traditional bars of the village.
You can enjoy beautiful and unbeatable views of the landscape, as well as the characteristic architecture typical of the Alpujarra, houses perfectly adapted to the rugged terrain and the climate of the area, which are arranged in narrow streets, adorned with the greenery of pots and plants, where the memory of its Moorish past lives on.
