Description
Its relevance is mainly landscape and public use, as it is part of the network of local trails of Maestrazgo and complements the cultural visit to Mirambel, one of the best preserved urban areas in the area. In the sources consulted, there are no specific local legends linked to this route or a singular figure of environmental protection associated exclusively with the trail.
How to get there
By car: from Mirambel, go to the Portal de las Monjas; next to the portal, crossing the road, the signposted path to Tronchón starts.. Parking: it is advisable to leave the vehicle in the surroundings of the town of Mirambel and walk to the beginning; there is no specific parking for the trail.. Trail: linear route of about 7.8 km each way, 15.6 km round trip; approximate accumulated elevation gain of 520 m; about 4 hours according to the source consulted; medium difficulty. Footwear: hiking boots or sneakers with good soles, on rural trails and paths. Best season: spring and autumn. Warnings: route without abundant shade and with exposure to the sun and wind; check the PR/GR signage before setting out and bring enough water.[6
