Sa Font des Pla

Sa Font des Pla is a natural resource of Fornalutx located in the rural area of the Serra de Tramuntana, in Mallorca, within the mountainous landscape surrounding the valley of Sóller. According to its coordinates, it is located on the slope or immediate surroundings of the town of Fornalutx, in a territory of strong relief, traditional terraces and Mediterranean mountain vegetation, typical of this part of the Balearic Islands. As a water source or spring, it is of interest for its value as a landmark in the landscape and for its historical relationship with the use of water in a mountain municipality. In this type of enclaves, the interest is not usually monumental, but territorial: the visitor finds a point linked to supply, irrigation and the reading of the traditional agricultural landscape, with trails and paths that allow understanding the relationship between the people and their natural environment.
