Puerto de las Cumbres

Puerto de las Cumbres is a high mountain natural resource located in the municipality of Grazalema, within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. It is a natural balcony at an altitude of 1,654 meters, in an environment of very marked limestone relief, typical of this Betic massif, where hillocks, rocks and wide panoramic views over the mountains predominate. The most valuable feature of this enclave is its condition as a natural viewpoint: from here you can contemplate the Ronda mountain range and the Torreón peak, one of the park's scenic landmarks. The visit is interesting for the visual amplitude and the contrast between the karst forms, the mountain environment and the reading of the landscape of the Sierra de Grazalema, one of the most emblematic natural areas of Andalusia. Its relevance is not only scenic, but also environmental, because it is integrated in a protected area with specific regulation of uses and access.
