The Pozas Pígalo are a set of natural pools of the Arba de Luesia river, in the term of Luesia, formed by the erosion of the riverbed on rock and by small projections that create a succession of pools of clean and cold water. The best known is the Pozo Pígalo, a wide and very frequented pool in summer, with rocky banks, nearby pine forests and a pre-Pyrenean mid-mountain environment. From the point of visit one can appreciate the valley, the rocky walls that frame the sheet of water and the landscape of the Sierra de Santo Domingo, within the Protected Landscape of the same name. The place stands out for its recreational value and for the combination of bathing, short hike and riverside environment, with other pools nearby upstream that allow you to continue the tour. Its popularity has made it necessary to regulate summer access by reserving parking, a sign of its strong local and regional use. It is a place very quoted in guides of excursions by the Five Towns and it appears associated to Luesia and to the river Arba de Luesia in tourist portals and of hiking. The best time to visit it is between late spring and early autumn, when the flow and temperature allow you to enjoy swimming and walking; in summer it is advisable to go early and check the access regulation.
