Petxina Beach

Description
Petxina Beach is a coastal cove in Peñíscola, in the province of Castellón, located in the coastal environment of the municipality and associated with a place of special natural and scenic interest. Its small size -about 35 meters long and 350 m² in area, according to municipal tourist information- makes it a very small and intimate space, away from the urban pressure that characterizes other sections of the coast. It is a beach of pebbles, gravel and shells, with clear waters and rocky relief in the immediate surroundings. This character of virgin cove, with little urban development, explains its interest for those seeking a more peaceful and preserved coastal landscape, as well as for the observation of the marine environment and the practice of snorkeling or diving in favorable sea conditions. Its main value is landscape and environmental: it offers an image of a little transformed coast, in a municipality strongly linked to tourism, and fits with the image of Peñíscola as an enclave where historical heritage and coastal fronts of great attraction coexist. The reference to its status as a site responds to this natural interest and its integration into a unique coastal landscape, without the sources consulted providing other uses or specific protection figures for this cove.
