Description
The Eth Corrau Museum is an ethnographic museum located in Bagergue, in the municipality of Naut Aran, province of Lleida, at coordinates 42.71962, 0.91569. It is installed in an old rural corral and is dedicated to preserving and displaying the material culture of the Aran Valley, with special attention to traditional domestic life, work and craftsmanship. The collection brings together more than 2,500 antique objects related to trades, farm tools, household utensils, carpentry, shearing and livestock work, as well as pieces related to the Pyrenean economy and rural lifestyles. The sources consulted indicate that it was opened to the public by the Moga family in 1999 as a private museum, taking advantage of a traditional agricultural and livestock space. Its heritage value lies in the breadth and coherence of the collection, which allows us to understand the evolution of daily life in the valley before mechanization and contemporary economic change. The sources do not have their own monumental architectural style, since the main interest of the resource lies in the rural container and in the ethnographic content that it preserves.
