The Mirador del Garbí is a scenic overlook located at the summit of Mount Garbí, at an elevation of 593 meters, within the Serra Calderona Natural Park in the Valencian Community. It sits on a mountainous terrain near the Mediterranean Sea, featuring stark contrasts between reddish-hued rocky slopes, Mediterranean pine forests, and the coastal plain. The area includes the Pla del Garbí, next to a hermitage and a popular recreational area, set amid a landscape of cliffs and ravines that descend toward the Palancia Valley and the coastal plain. From the viewpoint, a sweeping 360-degree view opens up over the Serra Calderona Natural Park, the Palancia Valley, the Sierra de Espadán, and—on clear days—the Mediterranean Sea, Sagunto, the Port of Sagunto, and part of the Valencian coast. Under optimal visibility conditions, it is possible to make out the Columbretes Islands off the coast of Castellón and the arc of the Gulf of Valencia. To the north lie the Sierra de Espadán and the Las Palmas Desert, while to the west, peaks such as Mola de Segart, La Redona, and El Xocainet can be seen. The viewpoint is located within the municipality of Estivella, although Mount Garbí straddles the municipalities of Estivella, Segart, and Albalat dels Tarongers. The natural park, designated in 2002 by the Valencian government, covers 18,019 hectares and is one of the most important green spaces in the Valencia metropolitan area. The site is known in hiking guides as an exceptional natural balcony due to its location overlooking the sea. The best time to visit is during the fall, winter, and early spring, when weather conditions allow for clear views and safety is greater. On days with strong winds, rain, or fog, visibility decreases significantly and safety along the cliff edges is compromised.
