Description
The Mirador de Aves de Vinuesa is a landscape observatory installed on an old restored landfill, converted into a reading point of the landscape around the Duero and the pine forests of the region. The wooden installation, with large windows, allows one to look out over the plain and the mosaic of forest masses, sheets of water and open clearings that surround the town.[7 Its main interest lies in the observation of birds linked to forest environments and nearby wetlands, favored by its position in an area of good environmental quality and within the scope of the SPA and SCI indicated by the Vinuesa Town Council. From the viewpoint there is also a wide view of Vinuesa and the transition landscape towards the Cuerda del Pozo reservoir, cited by the local press as one of the visual attractions of the point. The viewpoint is located in the town of Vinuesa. It is a short visit resource, more interpretive than sporting, useful for a quiet stop and to complete a route through the surroundings of the Duero trail or the Natural Park of Laguna Negra and the Glacial Cirques of Urbión. The best light is usually in the early morning or late afternoon, when the landscape gains relief and wildlife observation is more comfortable; on clear days in spring and autumn the bird activity is usually more interesting.
