La Tejería Fountain

The Fuente de la Tejería is a rural spot in Linares de Mora, in the Gúdar-Javalambre mountain range, next to the Regueral ravine and in a medium and high mountain environment closely linked to water and riparian vegetation. It is a fountain with a trough, a traditional element of livestock and local use that preserves the functional character of the mountain landscape of Teruel. Its location, on the outskirts of the village and in a valley, reinforces its value as a landmark of passage and rest in the natural environment. What can be seen is a small enclave of water in a landscape of ravines, pine forests and mountain slopes, where the presence of the fountain and the trough provides ethnographic and scenic interest. According to local references, from this point there are trails leading to the Alto del Monegro, so it also serves as a starting point for hiking routes in a quiet and undisturbed environment. Its main interest is not monumental, but environmental and rural: it helps to understand how water resources were used in a mountain municipality and how these points structure the walk through the territory. Linares de Mora is located in a mountainous area of strong natural identity, with ravines, forests and a protected historic center, which frames the Fuente de la Tejería within a landscape of high value.
