Description
Es Seregalls is a natural rural site in Fornalutx, in the Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca, associated with a family farm integrated in this traditional environment. It is located in the area of Es Marroig, within the municipality of Fornalutx, and in the local tourist references it is identified as a place of ancient olive trees and Mediterranean agrarian landscape. Because of its typology, it is of interest above all as a sample of the rural mosaic of the Tramuntana: terraces, traditional woodland and a landscape shaped by centuries of agricultural use on the slopes. It is not described as a space of great dimensions or as a monumental viewpoint, but as a corner of landscape and cultural value where the olive grove and the agricultural exploitation preserve the character of the place. Its interest for the visit lies in the relationship between nature and mountain agriculture, very representative of Fornalutx and the valley of Sóller. The environment gains importance for being part of a municipality recognized for its mountain landscape and the continuity of traditional uses that keep alive the rural image of the Serra de Tramuntana.
