Description

This cultural center and municipal museum is located in a renovated mansion dedicated to disseminating the historical and literary heritage of the town, with special emphasis on the figure of Juan Ruiz, Archpriest of Hita. The visit takes visitors through rooms that house everything from a valuable collection of facsimiles and manuscripts of the "Libro de Buen Amor" to archeological and ethnographic spaces that recreate the traditional life of Alcarria. Its main attractions include the Masks Room, which exhibits the props of the famous Medieval Festival of Hita, and a medieval desk that transports the visitor to the time of one of the greatest works of Castilian literature.
